A man, suspected to be a street thug, was filmed trying to extort a British tourist who was filming in a busy market in Lagos.
Harry Jaggard, a tourist who travels the world and films his experience, visited the popular Balogun Market in Lagos Island.
However, while filming himself and the environment, an agbero approached the vlogger and demanded he pay money to him before he could film.
“Why are you cameraing?” the agbero demanded.
Harry explained that he was just filming for himself.
“We don’t allow something like this. If you want to shoot something like this, you need to see us first. You understand?” the agbero told the tourist.
“Are you the boss?” the tourist asked.
“Yeah yeah,” the agbero responded.
The tourist insisted he was filming for himself and the agbero insisted that he must pay.
“You need to pay. We charge you for it,” he said.
The tourist then asked for his ID card to prove that he has the authority to demand taxes but the agbero couldn’t provide that and started speaking Yoruba.
Later, the tourist is seen saying that the agbero is just a random guy who just needs money.
“I thought maybe he is the boss and I’m just messing with the mafia of Nigeria,” the tourist said at the end of the video.
