A Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State has granted popular musician, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley and his associate, Balogun Eletu alias Sam Larry, bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry and two others were arraigned on October 6 and remanded over their alleged involvement in the death of former Marlian Music signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, on Monday, November 6, ordered the duo to submit their international passports as part of their bail conditions.
Olatunbosun also ordered them to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The magistrate issued a stern warning that any attempts to contact her would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.
“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” Olatunbosun said.
The duo were arrested at separate times at the international airport upon their return to Nigeria and taken into custody immediately.
Videos on social media had shown Sam Larry physically assaulting Mobad, while other videos showed boys suspected to be under the orders of Naira Marley also attacking the late rapper.
